The concept is as simple as it could get!

You show your support by donating Rs. 100 for 1 km!
We aim to get the entire 1500 kms supported and thus raise Rs.1,50,000

Funds distribution
1. Atleast two grass-root level NGOs would benefit from the funds we raise through 1ka100
2. We give 45% of the total funds raised or a maximum of Rs. 50000 to each beneficiary NGO. The aim is to reach out to multiple NGOs and create a larger and stronger network of NGOs which are working hard at the grass-roots! In all, 90% of the total funds raised through 1ka100 would be donated and the rest 10% would cover Sopaan's administrative costs. In case we are left with some money, it would be saved for any similar future initiatives.
3. If we are able to raise more funds than expected, we do a round of NGO evaluation and donate the money to an NGO which is working at grass-root levels and would make proper use of the funds that we give it!
